Boy Scout Troop 258 is located in the Town of Colonial Beach, VA and is sponsored by the Colonial Beach Baptist Church.

In late spring of 1998 a small group of adult members of the Town of Colonial Beach met at the Colonial Beach Baptist Church with several members of the Robert E. Lee Council (now known as the Heart of Virginia Council) and the Northern Neck District of the Boy Scouts of America. Troop 258 Boy Scouts enjoy Outdoor Camping, Hiking, Cooking, Backpacking, Climbing, Canoeing, Fishing, Kayaking, River Rafting, Earning Merit Badges, Reading Books, Sleeping under the Stars, and Having a Great Time Helping Others.
At present we have fourteen (14) active duty Boy Scouts, and seven (7) Active Duty Adult Scout Leaders. Some of these adult leaders wear two or more hats.... they are active with both the Cub Scout Pack 258 and with Boy Scout Troop 258, without them we would be lost and adrift in a sea of confusion.
