There is minimal shrinkage and settling and maintenance for these logs because : logs are cut from heartwood , tight dense grain from old growth trees , oil based wood , and a very rigid grading system for EACH log. And, these beautiful logs have a red/rust streak going through them that adds a classy/unique appearance. A log home is no longer just a dream home. They can be built for about the same price as a quality built stick-built home with some vinyl siding. I have builder contacts throughout Pa. and for Delaware to assist you in the construction.
